"The
Natural Way to Health"
Why
Choose Alternative Medicine?
Alternative Medicine encompasses many
therapies. Most notable are: Naturopathic,
Homeopathic, Chiropractic, Herbs, Vitamins, Reflexology,
Acupuncture, Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Alternative Medicine is on an upward swing, people are
taking health care into their own hands. A good example is
if you have high cholesterol; your doctor say lets try a
diet. The diet does not work and puts you on to a
prescription that should take care of the problem.
Your regular family practitioner does not try and find out
what is causing the high cholesterol.
Alternative Medicine doctor always wants to know WHY.
Why do you have high cholesterol, are you eating the wrong
foods, too much stress, liver malfunction, just what is
causing the problem. Alternative Medicine seeks to
find a reason for the medical condition does not just cover
the illness up with a pill.
Alternative medicine is also tried when Allopathic Medicine
fails, and there is no where else to turn. Time and
time again, you hear stories how how herbs have helped,
Acupuncture has relieved pain, and that a Naturopath informs
you that you don't have Chrones Disease but you are allergic
to wheat.
Alternative Medicine is us, taking control of the way we
live and the choices of how to be in charge of our own
health. Think about it, who knows our
body, the best. We know our body the best.
In fact did you know that the 6th reason for death in this
country is pharmaceutical drugs. Not abusing them, but
the wrong prescription, too strong of dose, or
allergic reaction to the drug.
We are prescribed an antibiotic but it does not work.
Why? The bacteria has become mutant and resistant to
the antibiotic. We are given a stronger antibiotic and
our bodies end up fighting Super Viruses.
Alternative medicine rebuilds, restores, and
supports our body.
In 1998 a study showed that 3 out of 5 people in the United
States use some form of alternative medicine. Whether it was
going to a Chiropractor, Acupunctionist, Massage Therapist,
Naturopath, Herbalist, or taking vitamins, herbs,
homeopathic remedies, or using an old folk remedy.
Alternative medicine is again becoming paramount in the main
stream of healing. Complimentary medicine is an
important part of taking our health into our own hands, and
working with a doctor.
